We have teamed up with Richard O’Gorman, also known as @househomo over on Instagram. Richard is an interior stylist, mural artist and content creator as seen on BBC's Interior Design Masters. In his Victorian terraced house, you will discover an explosion of colour, shapes and patterns with his eye-catching maximalist style.
Richard has created some fantastic and unique looks in 4 areas of his home to give you some styling inspiration. So, are you ready to brave the bold?
When it comes to the bedroom, Richard describes himself as ‘a king… or a queen!’ which is why he has opted for ‘super regal’ Paoletti bedding. The Palmeria duvet set in gold was the perfect choice for him as he describes it as ‘soft to the touch.’ For cushions, he has added a playful pop of pink inspired by Valentino's latest collection, as well as a marble effect to give an overall ‘expensive’ finish. To complete the look, he has added a contrasting geometric throw which has added layers and texture to his bed. You could say it is now fit for a king…or queen!
For the guest bedroom, Richard could ‘let loose’ and create a fun, exciting space. He chose the playful Theia duvet cover set, as he was inspired by Schiaparelli to embrace the eye print. To maintain the bold, retro vibes that you will find throughout his home, he also added some funky and embroidered cushions.
Richard has created this stunning living room look that you can easily recreate at home. Inspired by current yellow interior trends, he has taken a tonal approach and added an ochre colour palette as well as a variety of different textures. Keeping on theme, our Kula 100% Recycled Cushions introduce Richard’s beloved abstract shapes and circles, which brings the whole look together. The deep yellow tones are paired perfectly with Richard’s selection of Aurora Cushions that contrast nicely with his deep blue sofa. To finish the look, a waffle throw is added which adds the illusion of extra dimension.

Get your garden summer ready with outdoor living. ‘Colour, colour, colour’ – Richard says you can never have enough when it comes to summer and your garden spaces. Bright pops of colour have been added to his garden furniture by introducing UV + Water Resistant Outdoor Cushions in an array of bold colours. Richard says he was inspired by Jacquemus for the bright blue outdoor cushion and choose the ‘playful papaya cushion to add a bit of fun’. He has even added a Romilly throw to snuggle up with which we think completes the overall look!
