5 Ways to Refresh your Home for Spring 2025

The daffs are out, spring is finally here.

Spring is the true start of the new year. Forget January, now is the time to make changes with earnest. Inject your home with your unique personality for the new season with fresh colours, lighter fabrics and playful patterns.

Declutter & Spring Clean

The warmer weather and glimpses of sun awakens something within. We feel inspired to throw open the windows and blow away the cobwebs (sometimes literally – no judgement here). It’s a classic spring tip for a reason!

If doing a whole-house clean feels overwhelming, then pick an area that really needs help. It could be your wardrobe, under the bed or the back of that cupboard in the living room. Give away, sell or donate to charity what you don’t need, and bask in your newfound space and organisation.

Spring Colours

Spring is associated with all the joys of nature – green shoots, yellow sunshine and daffodils, light blue skies and white fluffy clouds, pastels for budding flowers and easter.  The perfect way to celebrate the season is to bring these colours into your home.

Lighter Fabrics

Like your first sip of an iced coffee on a sunny day, swapping out your heavy fabrics for lighter ones can put a spring in your step. Put away your faux furs, your velvets and your fleeces for next year, and break out your cottons and linens – your home will feel brighter and airier.

Chesil Check Throw in Navy

Chesil Check Throw

Made with 100% cotton, this beautiful throw is perfect for throwing over the sofa for the chillier evenings – pair with striped cushions for a modern look. Its classic check design means that it can even double as a picnic rug when the weather gets warmer.

Les Fruites Cushion in Lemons

Prepare for the Warmer Weather

Avoid a last-minute scramble to find something to sit on when the sun comes out and take some time now to prepare your outdoor space.  A quick tidy, maybe a power-wash and an assessment of your current furniture and outdoor cushions will stand you in good stead for the warmer weather.
