Getting started

To sign up with Clearpay you need to:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid and verifiable email address and phone number
  • Use a UK bank payment card – Visa or Mastercard Debit or Credit Card
  • Be capable of entering into a legally binding contract
  • Have a verifiable and valid ID
  • Be living in the UK (England/ Wales/ Scotland + Northern Ireland) No UK territories or British Forces Post Office addresses are allowed. No Isle of Mann or Isle of Jersey or Isle of Guernsey addresses are allowed.


    How to pay:

With Clearpay, your purchase will be split into 4 25% payments which are payable every 2 weeks.

First-time Clearpay customers will need to create an account and returning customers can simply log in to make their purchase.

Your first payment of 25% will be taken at the time of the order purchase.

At any time, you can log onto your Clearpay account to see your payment schedule. You can always make a payment before the given due date. Otherwise, this is automatically taken from your debit or credit card on the payment due date. Clearpay will send reminders, so you never miss a payment.

Any assessment checks to determine eligibility are soft searches and will not affect your credit rating.

Before you can use Buy Now, Pay Later, Clearpay will perform a soft credit check - this initial search will not affect your credit rating and the check is not visible to other lenders. Borrowing beyond your means could seriously affect your financial status, ensure you can afford to make your repayments on time by their due date.

 

Who is Clearpay?

Clearpay are a payment service provider that take end-to end responsibility for your payment. Clearpay offers an interest-free pay later scheme to thousands of retailers across the globe.

Am I eligible for Clearpay?

To use Clearpay you must be at least 18 and eligibility is subject to your financial circumstances.

How can I increase my chances of being accepted for Clearpay?
Clearpay’s Pay later option is based on a number of factors such as the order value, previous order history and item availability. If you are 18 or over, you can improve your chances of being offered Pay later by ensuring you provide your full name, accurate address details and arrange shipping to your registered billing address. All orders are assessed individually. Just because you have been accepted for Pay later before does not mean it will be offered for every order. In turn, if your application for Pay later is denied, it does not mean it will be denied for future orders.

How does Pay later in 4 instalments interest-free work?

Will a credit search take place against me?
Clearpay may run so-called unrecorded enquiries (or soft credit searches) that do not affect credit scoring and are only visible to you and Clearpay, but not visible to other lenders. Neither Clearpay nor run credit searches against you that could impact your credit rating.

What happens if I cancel or return my order?
As soon as we have accepted your cancellation/return, Clearpay will cancel any future scheduled payments as well as refund any amounts due. The return will be reflected in the Clearpay app immediately.

What happens if I don’t pay for my order?
If you fail to pay on time, you will be in default, and may be unable to use Clearpay’s services in the future. If you do not pay for your purchase, Clearpay may engage with an external debt collection agency to collect on our behalf. Debt collection agencies are used as a last resort.

Is my payment information safe?
Payment information is processed securely by Clearpay. No card details are transferred to or held by furn. All transactions take place via connections secured with the latest industry standard security protocols.

Can I pay before the due date?
Just go to the Clearpay app or log into www.clearpay.co.uk to pay off your balances early.

Have you received my payment?
Clearpay will notify you via email and push notification from the Clearpay app when a payment is due and when this has successfully been collected, or in the unlikely event of your payment failing. If a payment has been collected but you have not received payment confirmation, you can always check the status of your order and payments in the Clearpay app or by logging in on the Clearpay website.

What happens to my statement when I’ve returned the goods?
Once furn. has received the return (partial or full) and you have received their confirmation of this, an updated statement with an adjusted payment schedule will be sent to you by Clearpay if you've made a partial return. With a full return, we shall refund any payments collected and cancel any future scheduled payments.

I’ve received a statement, but I have not yet received my goods.
In the event that your goods have not been received please call furn. to check on your order and delivery status. You can also contact Clearpay’s Customer Service so that we can postpone the due date on your payment or put the order on hold in the Clearpay app while you wait for the goods to arrive.

I have cancelled my order. How long will it take to receive my refund?
As soon as the store has registered your cancellation or your return, the refund will be processed within 5 business days.

I have asked for a refund. How will I be refunded?
Refunds shall be issued back to the debit or credit card which was originally entered at checkout.

I haven’t received an email with my statement/payment information?
You can log on to the Clearpay app or at www.clearpay.co.uk, where you will find all your orders and payment schedule information.
