where to place a large mirror.

Large mirrors need the right placement to be both useful and to look good in your home. Luckily, there are some helpful guidelines to make finding the right mirror and the right placement for it a breeze.

A hallway or entryway is an ideal place to hang a large mirror. Placing one above a stylish console table instantly welcomes you home as well as giving you an opportunity to have one final look before you leave.

In your living room, there are several places that you could hang a large mirror. Above the mantelpiece, or above the sofa are popular choices, as it will reflects light around the room without being imposing, and offers a great styling moment.

Your bathroom is simply not complete without a mirror. Whether you go for a practical one or a statement one, it’s an excellent place for a large mirror. It’ll help brighten awkward layouts and help small ones feel more spacious.

When placing your mirror, be mindful of the light that you get in that room. Think about what it will reflect and where it might reflect light. For instance, don’t put a mirror opposite your window if it means that it will reflect morning light directly onto your bed.

how to clean large mirrors.

It can be difficult to get larger mirrors sparkling and streak free. Bathroom and dressing mirrors are particularly notorious, as they can often be found with toothpaste, make up and fake tan on them. Even if it’s just a living room or dining room mirror, it can still be tricky to get completely clean.

So what’s the best approach? First, remove any major stains or marks with some glass cleaner or rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. Then, you can use water on its own, with a splash of vinegar or more glass cleaner.

Make sure you use a clean microfibre cloth to wipe the mirror with. Work from side to side then up and down, not in a circular motion. Ideally have some paper towels to finish with too, as this can help to get rid of smears.
