how to hang a metal mirror.

There’s no doubt about it, hanging a mirror can be intimidating. No one wants to pull the plaster off the walls.

When it comes to placement, mirrors should be hung so their centre is at eye level, or the bottom of your mirror should be between 15cm and 20cm above the top of your sofa, chest of drawers or mantelpiece. 

It takes a bit of time and patience but using a paper template can make all the difference when it comes to the placement of your mirror. Begin by marking your paper template where the holes or hanging bracket will be, then get your placement on the wall finalised. This will help to visualise what the mirror will look like on the wall, too. 

From there, use the marks on the template to mark up the wall. This is where you’ll be drilling or hammering. Once you’ve done this, you can remove the template from the wall and start the hammering or drilling, leaving your nails, screws or bracket ready to hang your mirror on.
