what curtain headings should I choose?

Pinch pleat curtains are the way to go if you really want to lean into the luxury aesthetic. They’re ornate, sophisticated and feature permanently sewn bunches of fabric pleats. You can hang pinch pleat curtains on either a pole or track, but keep in mind that you’ll need curtain rings if using a pole.

Pencil pleat curtains offer a popular look that’s a bit more traditional. They’re made with tightly gathered folds of fabric which produce neat pencil-looking pleats. The tight folds create a classy, draped style that’s a perfect fit with our luxury Paoletti curtains. Like our pinch pleat options, you’ll need curtain rings if hanging pencil pleat curtains on a pole.

Eyelet curtains, while not the usual choice for luxury styles, offer convenience and a sleek modern look that’s become increasingly popular. They feature hollow metal rings which are sewn into the curtain fabric, and the curtain pole is then threaded through. While they’re easy to fit and slide along smoothly, keep in mind that eyelet curtains can only be used with a curtain pole.

how to style Paoletti curtains.

If you’ve got your eye on a pair of Paoletti curtains, odds are you’re after a luxury interior style. We’ve got a massive range of elegant designs, fine fabrics and opulent finishes that’ll help you nail the luxe look – but there’s a little bit more to it than just that.

There are a few factors that go into giving your curtains that five-star look and feel. You might choose the most opulent design with a crushed velvet or jacquard fabric finish, but if they’re not styled correctly, the premium look won’t come through.

When hanging your Paoletti curtains, fix the pole (or track) about two-thirds of the way up between the top of your window and the ceiling. The higher above the window you hang your curtains, the larger the window space will appear, and the entire room will feel taller. This will give your space a luxuriant manor house feel, and your premium curtains will really look the part.

To really dial up the luxe, add an extra 5-15cm to the length of your curtain fabric. This will cause the curtains to have extra fabric that bunches up on the floor when they’re hung. The look is known as pooling, and it’s a great way to bring a romantic feel to your space.
